He was a cute kid. What happened?
Shannon and Kirk will be flying in on April 21 and staying through April 27. You can stay for the week, a day, an hour, whatever floats your boat. And if you can’t make it, no worries, we understand. Life, work, finances, kids, & more all seem to get in the way sometimes. You will be missed, and most likely, mocked.
The only planned activity is the birthday dinner bash on April 22, 2017, beyond that, you are on your own to explore Sarasota or just sit on the beach roasting like a lump of warm goo.
Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is 8 minutes from the hotel.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is 1:15 from the hotel. (maybe cheaper)

The birthday boy had a vasectomy for a reason. He’s working hard to maintain his curmudgeon status. If you bring your kids to Florida, he suggests sedating or crating them for the night. (While he is joking about the sedating/crating he’s serious about no kids at dinner.)

Shannon worked with the Holiday Inn to get a special guest rate. We’re staying here, but you are free to stay wherever you want. This hotel is right on the beach and is a short walk to St. Armand’s circle (a slightly longer stagger back). The hotel was completely renovated this year, so it should be even nicer than we stayed there a few years ago.
