This 54,000 square foot project
involved adding an 18,000 square foot multipurpose building,
a new
25,000 square foot elementary school, and full
renovation of an existing preschool and auditorium. The
new buildings are linked by a multi-level atrium/commons.
The project also includes a state-of-the art media center
and computer lab, commercial kitchen, and state-of-the-art
A/V system. Extensive landscaping, an underground SWM
system, and additional parking facilities were also part
of the work completed.
At Synthesis, our project management services included
managing the financing process, selection of the design
team and general contractor, the design and construction
process, the site and building permit process (including
obtaining a conditional use zoning approval), and specification,
procurement and installation of all furniture, fixtures
and equipment. At the Church's request, we even designed
the memorial fountain.
The contractor received the 2003 Award of Excellence from
the Associated Builders and Contractors Association of
Baltimore for new projects over $5M.
